Biography
RIE KAIZUKA 貝塚理江
大阪府吹田市出身。
大阪音楽大学卒業。 同大学卒業演奏会、第28回ヤマハ管楽器新人演奏会に出演。第51回なにわ芸術祭 新進音楽家競演会 器楽の部にて新人奨励賞及び近鉄タクシー賞を受賞。
第22回おきでんシュガーホール新人演奏会に出演し入選。
第32回、第35回日本管打楽器コンクール入選。
ITEC（国際テューバ・ユーフォニアムカンファレンス）コンペティションにおいては2016年テネシー大会アンサンブル部門にてファイナリスト。2019年アイオワ大会ユーフォニアムアーティスト部門第2位。
第34回Leonard Falcone国際コンペティションユーフォニアムアーティスト部門第1位。
日本センチュリー交響楽団とホロヴィッツの協奏曲を共演。
2016年三木楽器開成館サロンにて、2020年箕面市立メイプルホール大ホールにてソロリサイタルを開催。
2014年米国、Dr. Benjamin J. Pierceの許で研鑚を積む。
現在オーケストラや吹奏楽の客演奏者を務める傍ら演奏活動を行う他、各バンドのパートレッスンの指導を行う。
Euphonium Ensemble Phoenix、The Brass Bar10の各メンバー。
ユーフォニアムを木村寛仁、深川雅美、Dr. Benjamin J.Pierce、三宅孝典の各氏に師事。
2020年opus55よりCD「Euphoniada」リリース。
現在京都市立芸術大学大学院修士課程2年在学中。

Japan native, Rie Kaizuka was born in the city of Osaka. She is a freelance Euphonium player, performing as a soloist, ensemble player and as a guest in various orchestras and wind bands throughout Japan. She also serves as a guest lecturer with various ensembles.
Rie graduated from the Osaka College of Music with a BA where she played the graduation concert of the college and the Yamaha Wind instruments Debut Concert for excelling as a student. She received the new artist award and Kintetsu Taxi Award of the 51st Naniwa Performing Arts Festival. She was accepted for the 22nd OKIDEN Sugarhall Competition for young musicians.
Her competition accomplishments include a 4th prize at the 32nd and 35th Japan Wind and Percussion Competition, 2nd prize at the 2019 ITEC(International Tuba Euphonium Conferense) held in Iowa and 1st prize at the 2019 Leonard Falcone competition. As a soloist she has performed the `Euphonium concerto` composed by Joseph Horovitz with the Japan Century Symphony Orchestra.
Rie’s teachers include Hiromasa Kimura, Masami Fukagawa and Dr. Benjamin J. Pierce.
She is currently a member of the “Euphonium Ensemble Phoenix” and “The Brass Bar 10”.
Her equipment of choose is the BE2052-2(Besson) and with a “BACH 4G”.
